CAPP is up and Running

“CAPP” program is up and running…

On August 29, 2011 Elliot Lake City Council endorsed the initiative of the Legal Clinic in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce. CAPP –Clinic Assistance to Promote and Protect program – has now been launched.

Over the next couple of months we encourage all individuals and businesses to register with CAPP. You can do so easily by completing the attached registration form and by dropping it off to the Legal Clinic, the Chamber office or by faxing it to 705-461-3966.

Registration is mandatory for all individuals or companies carrying on business in the Elliot Lake area.

Registration is simple and free and information is being entered into a database whereby consumers can access information and a history of the individual or business prior to engaging them for goods or services. 

We believe this program will increase consumer awareness about potential pitfalls with certain companies or individuals while enhancing and raising the profile of “good businesses”.

Over the next couple of months CAPP will provide information and signage to both businesses and consumers. This will enable consumers and businesses to announce their participation in CAPP and will also provide access information to reach the CAPP OFFICE.
